Ancient Christianity April 14th until
May 20 9:00 - 9:50 am | Kemper Parlor
Join Adult Sunday School for a historical and theological journey back to the early days of Christianity. Hear about the beliefs that were included in this new Christian faith, ideas that were cast aside, and ideas deemed heretical. We will discuss the Gnostics, the teachings of Ignatius (who learned at the feet of the disciple John), Irenaeus (who denounced those ideas he deemed heretical), the early Christian Mystics, the writings of Augustin, and we will ending with a discussion on the practices and writings of the Desert Fathers and Mothers. This six week journey begins on April 14 at 9 AM in the Kemper Parlor. Each week will stand alone – so no need to attend all six if that doesn’t fit your schedule.
We look forward to seeing you in Sunday School.
